Default Pop-ups: episode 4, mechanism of feces

Alright, I decide to do a good deed for my 240 and slap in some nice headlights and a brand new headlight/turn signal switch. All goes well, both high beams now work and the lights pop up in quasi unison. Tonight, out of the blue, the passenger side light refuses to pop up. I go out and crank it up manually. Apon turning off said lights, it has the audasity to go down. Will it go back up? No.

Any fix I should know about or should I just hit it with a BFH? The Silvia front end is looking better and better each night.

ah, down but no up??

only one side ???

try tapping the motors a few times.. they *could* be going bad, but its not likely... a bad connection up at the switch possibly?

Pulled the switch out today and cleaned all connections. Still the same crap result. My guess is that it is wiring, much like everything else.

possible solenoid on the motor. cant take the weight to go up, but weight on it make the motor reverse.

no other ideas.
