SS Presents: Subframe spacers on your multilink Nissan!
today we teach you how to put SPLPARTS.COM ( www.splparts.com ) subframe collars / spacers on your rwd nissan multilink. in this case it's an S13, but many other nissan platforms work the same way.
tools needed:
1/2" drive gun
12mm deep socket
17mm deep socket
8" 1/2" drive extension
an extra set of hands in some cases
the first thing you're going to do is remove the 12mm bolts and nuts from each side holding the front crossmember mounting point brackets to the chassis.
once they are gone, remove the 17mm deeps from the front as well and the bushign bracket will come down.

i like to loosen all four of the large 17s, so the subframe sits down a little bit lower.
dont worry it wont' fall on you! the driveshaft is holding the diff up, and your rear shocks are holding the back up!
you want to slide the top collars on first! sometimes its tigh, get an extra person to help pull down on the subframe for you so you can squeeze it in

do the subframe bushings have hollow spaces in them? If they do find some two part urethane...mix it up and pour it into them....let it cure and then install these spacers....(I used to work for a company that made the rubber bushings for alot of auto companies...) the hollow spaces are there to allow the bushings to have a certain rate yet hold everything in place.....by filling the void it will become stiffer yet...(the hollow areas are usually in the x and y direction).....
