yeah when iam actually getting on it shifting from 1st to 2nd is very very harsh... it feels like there is something in the way blocking me from getting into gear... fluids full and replaced whatelse could be the problem... oh yeah and its being a bitch when i try to put it in reverse...

Default Well

Adjust the clutch, and see if the engagement point is off.
Bleed the Clutch system

Are you sure your tranny is not going? What about tranny fluid, etc.

Default Yeah

Thats what I was thinking. I would check the tranny fluid. The drain should have a magnet on it to collect shavings, see how much crap is in there. Refill with redline mtl90 or something along those lines and see if there is any difference.

Syncros might be shot...time for a rebuild or newly used tranny.

one final thing you can try after you have tried the above is actually replacing the shift forg springs in your tranny. It is actually a lot easier than it sounds. Between the bellhousing and rear section of the transmission is a metal plate about an inch thick. On one side of the transmission there are 2 14 mm bolts on the side and one up top. The side ones are easy to get to, the top is a real hard. They actaully help guide the forks so the synchros engage smoothly. Behind each bolt is a spring and then a ball bearing. Take the springs out and go to any transmission shop and find ones that are same diameter but a little longer.. They are literally only 3/4 of an inch long and about 1/6 of an inch in diameter. This helps clear up grinding very effectively w/o doing a full rebuild.

Mine does the same thing. I'm pretty sure my transmission was abused by a drifter as well. Actually, once it's warmed up it isn't rough going into 2nd, only when it's cold. *shrugs*
