Default Future swap build-ins?

I haven't been reading the board for that long, but I bet I've seen a dozen or more references to exhaust tickets. After reading about SYLVIA-S14's latest misfortune, it's obvious that some cops have a hard-on for any import with non stock exhaust. Is there a better (quieter) alternative without killing the exhaust flow?

It seems sacreligious to block up a 75-85mm exhaust system, but what do some of you think of this stuff? The test pipe with the butterfly valve remotely controlled from inside sounds like a good way to deal with the exhaust nazis.

big shiny n1 style fartcan = poop

stock muffler + electronic cutout = good

http://www.store.yahoo.com/phase2mot...excat19ni.html = good

custom 3" piping + magnaflow/dynomax type muffler + black paint = good, like above but way cheaper.

not guaranteeing you'll get away with any of these, there's always a cop who might be able to tell it was modified, so its a risk you choose to take. but with these, ur definately better off looking stock/stealthy.

in fact, i'd say there is a guarantee you'll never be able to get a ticket for the e-cutout. you could drive by a cop with it open (a la open downpipe basically), flip the switch and it'll be closed within 2 seconds or so and he wont hear u hopefully.

Mine is quiet as well, but cops are dicks. He saw it, but did not hear it. Dammit, I like my exhaust. It is a functional grapefruit shooter.

is the apexi GT spec too big? its got gigantic piping, i'd think that people running less power than enthalpy would be on the losses side of things..

Turbo's = get air in the quickest and get it out fast, so we should have full trashcan exausts to help exaust flow!
