I have a couple of projects for the car so I'll be heading to the shop at 9AM this Saturday. They close at 7PM. Let me know if you need access and we'll go together.

There's 16 full-service bays, 8 w/ lifts. Lifts are $4hr and open bays are $2hr.

I can't help you out too much for the first 2-3hrs but can help out after my stuff is done.

My projects:
Remove I/C piping, paint, insure no boost leaks
Change oil
Replace coolant
Adjust RUCAs

Jesse, i got few projects for the s13 and a project for the s14..........it has to be done seperately.........on two different weekends.......but not dec. 6............prolly the sat. after that and the one after that.......let me know if that's good.....

hey defin interested as well... mainproject is pulling a broke bleeder screw out of the head, just after the upper rad. hose... any tips? then pulling the aav valve and relay out.

 

You don't need a full service shop for that - just a nice set of vice grips for that bleeder screw. I've never used that thing before, never had trouble filling the radiator. We can always just drill it out too. Make sure you have something to replace it with (duh).

I might postpone the trip to 12PM b/c I decided to take apart all my I/C pipes last night and don't think I'll put them in tonight. With this in mind, that's one less thing to do at the shop and more I can help you out.

Ahh...the base...good old days...conquered a few swaps there myself. A friend of mine works there at the desk...when time comes around...I'll be swapping another motor in there Thank god for the Airforce So many tools, not enough parts.

 

some one tell me a little more about this. is it only on saturdays?

oh and do they have air lines. so i know if i should bring the pneumatics.

 

The auto shop on MacDill is open Tues-Sat...but I think because he can sponsor some people on base, he opts to do it on Saturday...but unfortunetly, Saturdays are usually a busy day for off duty Military members...but you shouldnt have too long of a wait if you cant get an open stall.

 

well i have a military ID. so know worry about getting sponsored.

but do they have compressors cause airtools make things a lot easier.

 

I been there on couple of occassions.....they have air gun....and all the tools necessary.......
