Default Project swap

Oki well not sure if many of you know but I recked my car acouple weeks back...

well instead of paying over 2k to get it fixed (only bought the car for 1900) I decided to find a shell and swap my motor into it

bought the shell of vito for 800 bux.. and started working on the swap today... only took acouple hours to get the old motor out of my recked car and into the new shell.. I didnt think it would be that easy if I woulda known that it wouldnt be so hard I wouldnt have pain Matt almost 600 bux to do it ... but tomorrow comes the fun stuff.. the wireing!!! mabey thats what I paid matt for but i'm not sure i'll find out tomorrw

Thanks for listening to my jumble

oki hes the up date.... IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe not bad for my 1st time doing a swap (had help from my moms boyfriend also) we got it all pluged in and wired and it wouldnt start we couldnt figure out why!!!!!!!! so we took a brake got something to eat then went at it again.. come to find that the car had an alarm and the pplz that took it out didnt know wtf they were doing and left everything all jumbled up so it was making the car not start up.. so my moms boyfriend wires everything back up and woohoo car starts!!!

now the bad stuffz! the power windows and locks dont work.. (not sure but is there a different ecu for a base or an SE 240) the spedo doesnt work and the brakes might be bad.. but i'm not sure how long the car was sitting so i'll live with it for now.. tomorrow comes the fixing of all the lil stuffz..

if you can offer any infor on how to get the windows and locks to work please let me know

Thanks,

eric

oki well I got the car running everything working then go to take it for a drive.. ya well now i'm stuck on the same problem that Matt had (theflywheel staying tqed down) only with my awsome luck one of the flywheel bolts broke!!!! so does anyone have an extra one that I can buy or something... also does anyone know if a SOHC bolt will work on a DOHC?
I would go to the dealers but they said it would take 2-3 dayz 2 get and sence its on the weekend that wont be till middle of next week...

Thanks,

eric

its this simple.

remove sohc flywheel bolt.

remove dohc flywheel bolt.

compare/contrast the two.

heck, make a venn diagram up! put the sohc bolt on the left the dohc bolt on the right, and the area where they intersect, thats where you put the similarities. on the left you put the sohc's differences from the dohc's differences, which you'll put on the right.

let me know how it works out!
