Fuel issues...

This apears to be random, and does it in any gear, and any boost level.
My car will pull timing out of nowhere in the higher rpm band, and the narrowband a/f gauge will go full lean. Im curious if my fuel pump might be going out? This even does it at 10psi. I don't understand it, friday it was dynoed at 12.2:1 a/f @ 13psi in the high rpm ranges... WTF?!

Does the car idle fine? If so you might want to check for a leak in your IC piping. My car expierienced same symptoms until bad connector was located.

I would go ahead and rewire your fuel pump. It solved my issues. All I did was wire it directly to a relay (per Scott's instructions) and she was alive and well. Mine was making a sound that was indicitave of it cutting out. It just seemed like it wasn't getting enough voltage. 12 strong volts fixed that right up.
Do you have an aftermarket pump? It just seems like the wiring can't handle the amperage that the pump is capable of. Most of the DSM guys have to rewire their pumps as well...so give that a shot and see if it still does it.

Wow, that means it is also pretty damn old to boot. Definately at least check the wires going to the pump with a decent voltage tester, upgrade the pump and change the fuel filter. If it doesn't fix the problem, it'll be alright since that would be 3 less things to go wrong in the near future.
