i hope nissan sells the turbo motor over here. americans dont need big displacement v8s anymore. i heard that toyota is gonna have a 5 liter v8 with a supercharger in the new supra.....

Thats the same thing that they are doing with the bloody EVO. Doing away with the turbo power plant and dropping in a larger displacement NA engine....

Bottom line, if Nissan had wanted to sell sports cars they would have sold the S-14 and later the S-15 here. In the absence of the Z it would have sold well. Now, they have released the new Z and in no way wish to diminish its sales, so you wont see a skyline until at least 2007 in my opinion.

The most ideal setup in my mind would be to have an NA and Turbo Silvia, and NA and Turbo 350Z, and an Infinity G35GTR (Turbo) They would cover all aspects of the performance and enthusists market.

Either way it works for me, I love Z's obviously, and by 2007 I will be out of law school and will be able to afford a skyline.

 

z's kick ass. i wish the current one had 350 hp instead of 287 although it is good now. i think with 350 it could run with a lot more of the big name cars. i do hope the skyline comes with more than 460 hp because by 2007 that wont seem all that impressive. either way ill keep savin and be ready if it does kick ass.
