85 200sx swap possibilities?
just wondering if anything could be done for this car swap wise. i searched FA and searched TR but found nothing. hoping because not many people have it done. i think its rwd but not totally sure. any info would be appreciated. thanks

85 200sx? That's an S12! You've got either a CA20E or CA18ET (that's "T" for turbo). It should be fairly straight forward to do a CA18DET or SR20DET. I haven't seen any in person, but do a google search, there's plenty of info out there by people who have never heard of FA!

so its rwd. thats what i thought. its called an s12 chassis? tight i could pick one up for like 600 bucks but then i would have to buy the sr motor. which would take a while to do. so your saying it would be a direct fit for the SR or CA? if it is tight i might do that. and i did a search for it on FA, and came up with nothing.

I dunno, being unique is cool and all that, but to a point. So far, research seems to be the key. Weigh all the options and then proceed.

I believe those cars also came with the vg30e in the US. That might only have been the later years, though. I did a little bit of research, and you can find info on them, it's out there. It's just hard to find. Unfortunately all of my bookmarks from the last month were lost when my c: partition was corrupted by an unfriendly fsb multiplier, so I can't give you any links.
