Datsun 510 sr20det
How tight would that be? Where can i find a 510? How much do they cost? How much would an SR swap be for that car? Just labor and extra parts needed. Are they Light?
McKinney Motorsports has their famous 510 outlaw dragster powered by and SR20. Crazy fucker, it is. Looks pretty well done, though. Their site has a few pics that may be informative, but being in Cali, they may not be of much help to you! XAT would be the local shop to hit up for a project like that.

Heh, my mom had a red 510 wagon. 5 speed, too.
I've done a little reading on it and it's pretty straight forward. Actually putting the KA in a 510 is a popular swap in other countries. Prepare to spend some money. I'd compare it to doing a 240sx swap into a car with inferior everything. Then you get to tackle the restoration part once it drives.
By the way, auto trader has a classic car section. Prepare to spend 3-4k if you want a coupe in good condition.

510 would fare better with a KA.
the 510 chassis is not as accepting of power as the S30 chassis is. so you will subsequently need a cage, as your transmission tunnel (as source of chassis stiffness) will get cut open to fit the larger 71C trans)
KA and SR are popular in 510's intercooler piping needs a bit of forethought if you decide to go turbo, but not impossible.
check out the california 510 boards and youll see an abundance of ideas and things done. VG, SR,KA, L, rotary etc.
