Aero kit thoughts...
I've been giving this much thought, and almost all of my research has returned to me little more than enough to frustrate me endlessly. I do not like ricer kits, and there are very few attractive and complete kits that are bold yet understated. I did just recently stumble upont the 9 piece Vertex S14 Kouki wide body kit; and I must say, I like it. Simple lines, complete package, and the only vehicle I've seen wearing it looked pretty straight. Does anyone here have experience with Vertex Aerokits, or comments as to the quality in fit and finish? I really do like the way it looks, and for me to say that takes a lot. I was previously sold on the idea of doing an S15 front end conversion, but I really like the look of the Kouki's front end. Help me out here guys, would I be wise to buy Vertex, or dissapointed. I'm not worried about being laughed out of tampa, so feel free to tell me if the kit looks gay at all.

I fully intend to use all the extra girth inside the wheel well that the wider body will afford. I was uncertain also as to weather or not the front fenders had a "Rolled" inner lip to avoid interference with the tires on cornering. Not that I couldn't modify them if they did not, but the more ready-made the kit, the more appealing the purchase. This would end up actually saving money for me, as the complete package would ring up less than the S15 conversion with side skirts and rear bumper, blah blah blah. I also think the S15 front end is becoming a little to fad. I have always been in love with the menacing look of the S14 front end. Would the greater audience be more impressed with an S15 front end, though? I hate the idea of an S15 front with the S14 ass on it. Just doesn't look right.

John, I've been going through the same. Since I want to lighten my S14, replacing fenders, hood, and bumper means I've definitely looked into the kouki and S15 conversion. I'm hesitant on the kouki b/c the front looks to sharp on the S14 body. I'm hesitant on the S15 b/c I want my car to be a classic. I'm trying really hard to find e-spec headlights or the clear plastic lense covers.
Another tough thing is that there are few front bumpers that look clean for the zenki AND are made of urethane.
Get the wheels 1st b/c that's a lot of shame rolling w/ a kit w/no wheels.

I'll be doing it all at once. The enite car will get paint and aero kit, plus wheels/tires and interior around the same time. The wheels and tires will likely be off for some time, while I complete the entire suspension package. This is a company race/show car; it is getting tons of time and money put into it. Just has to look right. That's really the only reason I say I will do what the company and I agree looks good, but it is somewhat important that it be appealing the the greater audience as well. I just don't want it killed with graphics and whatnot, but it will very likely have some.
