The RB25/26 both have a good 100lbs over the stock KA, which has about the same on the SR. Being that a 240 with an SR is an excellently balanced car, the RB in a 240 will make it push some, due to the extra 200lbs (appx.) up front. Also either stock KA springs or an adjustable coilover system should be used, due to the extra weight up front. This is only if you want to lower the stance.
Not bad, just some extra weight - not what everyone wants in a car.

HAHAH SIl8TY youre so wrong it hurts brother!!!

RB is like 130 lbs heavier than a KA if youre just motor for motor, but EVERYthing on those cars is heavier, not to mention you have a turbo hanging off the side and a big ol' intake manifold!!

and the transmission!?!?!?! don't get me started on that R30A beast, its like 75 lbs heavier itself!!!
everything on the RB is heavier, i wouldn't be surprised if its closer to 300 lbs difference between stock and RB25, and 150 lbs lighter between stock and SR

why do it to be different? there is no real reason to do that engine.

just do an sr like everyone else and be out sat nights driving around instead of hanging out under a car port for weeks trying to do uber wiring and stuffs and then end up dropping it off at SS to finsih it.

attn: just cause SCC does it doesnt mean u need to.

Matt - thats why i put (appx.) - not an expert like you , o Nismo god. Just tried to get the point across that they are heavy bitches. Guess I should have said that from the start, too many late nights on the car lately I guess. Thanx for the save.

well, thats one of my big reasons for wanting an rb, other than the fact for more hp potential, and not to mention skyline anything under the hood.

sorry for grave robbing.

but if u were to have the money and all how would this sound using the Skyline GT-R twin turbo motor RB26DETT with the RB25DET RWD tranny with skyline cross member and a custom driveshaft then then throw on a set of T3/T4 60-1 Trim turbo's .

now go on and do the rest from the ground up . including carbon fibering pretty much the whole car what would then take of that extra wiehgt that the engine added. and u would be puching a shit load of horse. just woundering what u think. also i mean i know u all are talking about stock vs stock but u could always take off some wieght from the rb by getting new headers and cams that are better and lighter....

just woundering what ya think and if u agree.
