Default Charcoal Canister, Dyno, Autocross

OK, so big things are the SCCA races in Gainesville and Florida State Fairgrounds this month. Looking into when/where I'll dyno so I can use the car for what it's built for.

In the meantime, I wanna clean up more of my engine bay and toss the canister: anyone have problems capping the fuel vapor line? Florida does get hot so I imagine so but I don't wanna open vent...

My plan is take all that hard line out of the engine bay - I'm gonna cut it prior to entering the engine bay. My question is if anyone has had trouble by capping it. I'm not worried about the vacuum lines, too easy

you wont smell fuel everywhere

the first time i pulled mine out last spring i left it open and it smelled cuz i also didnt pull any of the engine bay stuff just the canister (i have a '97 and its on the rear passenger side & the vacuum line is hardlined all the way to the engine bay alongside the fuel feed/return lines and rear brake hardline), well my gas gauge started making a noise at cruising speed and i got paranoid and put it back on cuz it didnt seem like it was moving down at all?

i pulled mine off today and capped the line and have removed alot of unnecessary engine bay stuffs anyways, and so far so good.
