Jerry, that was a joke, you know..sarcasm? Notice the smiley face and the "heh," I figured everybody would of picked up on the sarcasm. I think Rinku is cool as fuck and I am in no way insulting him. I think what he does his totally awesome and I have much respect for him. But even he got the joke, the night pictures were very choppy and I was simply teasing him. I thought you were getting on my nuts because of what I posted originally, sorry for the confusion. I'll throw the <joke></joke> tag in next time I attempt one. Consider this.....

Dan who came from Orlando to be a part of festivities was helping out fellow enthusiast (Jesse) by helping him install his walbro in the S14. He took time out of his schedule just like everyone else to be part of this great event and than he helped someone do an install and also made his presense felt by being there as a true enthusiast by getting "INVOLVED".

Now you think i am the only one who noticed that? NO......Jerry noticed it and gave him props for talking and than helping and getting INVOLVED in the mix.........

I didn't have time to check on everyone to make sure they are okay because that's not my intention. I am not baby sitting or someone's mommy. I was busy with planning out the event and than when only 1 person paid on time, i knew i had a busy day ahead so i opened up my schedule and got there early with HELP (Jerry, of course) and gave him photo duties from the get go. He didn't even care of taking pics from his own camera himself as he let his talented son take that duty off his hands......I MUST SAY THAT PIC OF MINE ON THE COUCH, IS PRETTY GOOD.......taken by Brando....

It's little things that people notice. That only happens when you're involved yourself and not sitting or standing all alone in a corner hoping people come to you and introduce themselves. You gotta take the initiative and go out and make contacts and be social. There is no harm in that. You introduce yourself and ask for his/her name, and if you forget his name the first time, you ask again, there is no disrespect in that at all.

There are other instances like these, this is what i call NISSAN LOVE (One guy making trip from Orlando but instead helps out with an install and other's notice his efforts and give him props)......i am not gonna point out every single one here, as that will take eternity to get done.

You say you only know three peeps by name even though you been coming to the meets few times now. WHY IS THAT? Why don't you go introduce yourself to someone (anyone, you find interesting whether its their ride or whatnot) and than talk to them about their setup and find out more for yourself in the process......

Well, glad that's over with. Wow, people actually called you because of that? Damn...well, whatever! I will make sure I say Hello to you next time! As a matter of fact, my father does a lot of video editing in his free time. If you're really interested in recording it and making a video I'll see what I can do. Well, if you truly must know I have social anxiety. I'm surprised I even go to the meets. Sorry I feel extremely uncomfortable walking up to people but hey, that's life. I don't sit in the corner though, I browse each car with the crowd and just listen. I admit, I really don't know all that much about cars and so I really have even less to talk about. I'm still trying to learn and you have to start somewhere. The meets are a good place for me to gain knowledge and I enjoy them a lot.

I never realized a small joke about the quality of some pictures could blow up so big.

That's what these meet are suppose to do......Provide a place for people to learn, talk, chat and socialize with other sharing your own enthusiasm in NISSANS.....

I can respect your social anxiety but truth is that if you communicate and get your social anxiety over with, you may even enjoy this even more......by being able to be a part of it in more depth other than just a browser........this is just my opinion, it is not directed to insult you in any way....its upto you to choose your corrective action, if any at your own will.......

Thanks everyone for the props. A quick correction is that i live in Lakeland which is still ~1 hr drive, and do not forget Slash, Jay, and I think Mark (red s14? - i met him in orlando before but dont remember if he lives there or not) came from Orlando. I do not live in Orlando anymore, but had I still, I wouldnt have hesitated to join in like I did.

As far as helping Jesse, he had a tentative dyno spot, and I figured if I helped him hook up the AVC-R, he could get his car tuned, since he has a JWT ECU on his F-MAX turbo kit, which is very conservative/rich, and he could get his boost controller and S-AFC 2 dialed in, even though his car pulled really well for .3bar (4.35psi). On our test run, we found his BOV to not be working right and I may know alot but I had never 'tuned' a BOV before, I just knew it had to be closed at idle and tight enough to hold boost (which it wasnt doing before), so finally after doing that, he had pretty much no time for his dyno run, since he needed his fuel pump put in before turning up boost safely. I said hey i have a walbro sitting at home, so lets install yours, i can get experience for when i do mine so we just went into it blind (but knowing we had answers to any questions since half the people there had fuel pumps and a few came and helped us with any suggestions, etc). BTW, it was a very easy install, minus having to basically pull it twice to fix a loose wire but it works.

not to brag, but anyone who knows me knows that i love to get down and dirty and help out car enthusiasts, nissan or not. being that my car is a slow pos and i am still job searching, getting to work on something really cures sitting at home on my ass all day or trying to figure out more free mods for mine i have to thank jesse for letting me help him. that was the first time we had met, otherwise previous internet chat. He even offered me to use MacDill base garage where its like full shop/tools and where he does his work. i didnt ask for or expect that, but i was ecstatic with his generosity in return for my help. Hopefully within this month i will be employed again somewhere/anywhere (hint hint to anyone hiring or know of in lakeland area?) and someday i will have parts, and maybe i'll actually take him up on his offer.

As for anyone "critiquing" others' cars, i did not hear of any of this. well, i did, and i did it myself, because i critique almost every car i see thats not stock, but every car there, even us stockish guys, were nice cars, and i didnt have anything negative to say about anything. if anyone heard me say something along the lines of "just a plain basic swap" and in a non enthusiastic tone, plz dont take offense as ive seen so much, that i guess nothing hypes me up anymore but that dont mean i dont like it, i would surely take it and was envious of anyone who has more than me

Thanks to everyone again for making it one of the best days ive had in a LONG time, and thanks for the provisions of drinks and t-shirts (which i forgot to buy - i thnk they were out of larges by the time i remembered) and everything else.
