If it's been lying in their yard for years the first thing you want to do is check out the frame. How it lines up and check for rust. Just see if it's even worth $300.

Now, depending on the motor you have to decide if you want to be quick or stay stock, etc. How much money are you looking to spend? You can't really get a "bigger" engine. If you do a search, the SR20DET is a turbocharged 2.0L 4 cyl. Then you have the stock DOHC KA24DE N/A 2.4L 4 cyl.

You'd also have to check out the specifics on "blown." Do you just need a head, etc? Then obviously you won't have to get a whole motor if you want to stay stock. It's all up to you and how much you want to spend.

haha. i know. very true. totally slipped my mind.

not to prejudge, but he doesn't seem to have any knowledge at all and it seems he's looking to do something simple. that's why i asked how much he's looking to spend and gave the examples i gave.

I've also seen a few 5.0 swaps on the net, or at least planned 5.0 swaps. Never seen one in real life.
