How hard is it to put a new engine in a 300zx, or swap a turbo in? Any guides would be helpful, or general links to info about it. Thanks guys TR is great

To be more clear. I'm basically wanting to abuy a 300 zx z31 or z32 (love the z31 more though) with a blown engine and am thinking of putting a turbo in it. Failing that I would put the stock in. Any links to info I can use for research would be great

The Z31 swap I beleive is alot more straight foward, a good place to look for info would be www.z31.com

No vfaq level detail on those sites, I see.

There was one page that had a little bit of info on what would be needed in a z31 turbo swap, just a vague listing of parts that I wouldn't trust as complete.

From the looks of it, essentially what it would involve is finding a wrecked turbo donor car and if not going for the total engine swap, at least yanking a ton of other stuff to swap out for the corresponding NA parts.

largo- I'm telling you, just wait for the turbo. Then the first work you do on the car can be the fun stuff, mods.

z31.com does have the info, best site for z31`s there is. pm me with your questions. i know what you need to put a turbo on a non turbo. it`s easy to swap motors in a z31 except for a twin turbo motor, you don`t even want to try. i also have some parts you will need laying for sale, injectors, ecu and a couple others. let me know.
