Default hks 264 step 2 cams

when i get my sr, would these cams be worth the 500$, how would the driveability be? rough idle?

also how are ferrea valve spring kit? is there another set better?

i was thinking the hks cams , ferrea valvespring kit , hks r.a.s., arp head studs.

its probebly going to be a long time until i get my sr20det, but just doing my homework

thanks in advance

sounds like you are on a good path there! your cam/spring/RAS combo would work great. couple that with a ROM tune for maximum gains adn driveability.

while we're on the subject of cams here... can anyone explain what each cam is intended for (low end power, top end, midrange torque, etc) or have a link to a page that will explain these things? 250, 256, 264, whatever. those numbers mean nothing to me... i'm lost. thanks

240-280 are representative of the duration of the cam in degrees of crank rotation. duration meaning the time the valve is open. the higher the number the high in the RPM band the cam will make it's peak power. example

264 generally peak around 6200-6500 RPM

272 generally peak around 7200-7500 RPM

stock cam is a 240 degree.....
