Default Vtc?

Is getting the s14/15, worth it for the extra money? I understand you get a better turbo and all, but it's quite a bit more expensive. I am a Honda guy so far and of course without Vtec we are all lost, but i'm not so sure that is the case in you guy's world. Any information, be it reading or just answers would be greatly appreciated.

depends how much power you want.

after 300-400hp most people ditch vtc, more problems than power. plus more readily available parts and variety available in USA for s13 motors.

ps - vtec isnt needed for high powered hondas. ask cheezefrog.

vtc is not = to VTEC

vtc is variable cam timing
-helps midrange

vtec is variable lift and duration
-helps peak power
