clutch cable question
my friend has a 95 se-r, he just had a clutch put in a few days ago. then just the other day he was driving and the clutch pedal just stuck to the floor. he took it back to the place that did the clutch and they said them doing a new cltuch has nothing to do with the cable breaking. i dont know shit about cable clutches(mines hydrolic). i just want to know what the possiblities are that they fucked up puting something back together and it caused the cable to snap. thanks
yes, i've heard of clutch cables snapping before.
it happens most often with aftermarket clutches like ACT's ( or others with heavy duty diaphragms)

i would say it's very much their fault
me) i havent had problems except my clutch slipping for the last 10,000 miles
them) us replacing the clutch , has nothing to do with you have problems for tem miles after we've repalced it, even though you havent had any problems
bring it back be like fix it assholes

Souds like what happened on my SE-R. Not the cable though. Damn retainer clip came off and the t.o. bearing came loose. Yey.

nope not there fault clutch cables go,thats why your friend might have thought he needed a new clutch cause the cable was pulled to far and had to be pushed harder to cheange gears, but in all its not there fault clutch cables are covered in hollowMetal tubing so unless that was cut then its wear&tear

Now it just hit me, on those SE-R's you may have to adjust the pivot point on the clutch fork arm. I forgot how to do it, but check on www.sr20deforum.com and there are a bunch of guys on there who have done it due to ACT clutch being heavy/clutch cable tension.
