My freind who has a Focus Hatch just took his rosonator off his intake and said it made a big roar now. So i went out to my 94 alty and couldent find the rosonator(if there is one). Does any one now how to make a stock 94 alty intake louder by just modifying it?Or by taking something off?

first of all, shame on you looking for noise not even asking about performance. Don't rice out your Nissan man (not saying you are), be proud.

you cut the bottom of the box off while keeping the edge with the clips intact, then you switch to a K&N cotton filter. this modification on my car (nissan 200SX) is said to produce the same HP as a WAI. on your KA engine it should be about the same. 3-5HP increase.

 

I was looking at my intake and noticed a little plastic pipe that was coming out of the air box. (It was bent down and was sucking air from the bottom of the engine compartment) I just ripped it out and now the air has to travel like 12 inches shorter to get into my throttle body. I noticed a pick up of throttle response, but not any HP gain. It also sounds kinda cool now. I think Im gunna go and take the bottom off my air box and see what that does. Thanks
