http://www.boostcontroller.com/ get the joe P or the Hallman EX kit, both are 45 dollars or so...

But personally, i think you should mimic what i said in the other forum.... Just be patient, and save for the right parts.. AKA Profec B and a proper IC.. In the long run it'd be a lot more reliable....

Manual boost controllers also tend to spike way high on partial throttle, on my Z31 with it set at 12 at WOT, i was getting spikes to 14-15 at like 80% throttle i used for normal street driving / passing.......

Manual boost controllers get the job done, however they spike occasionally like slash said. I would also save the money and purchase a profec B.

If you want to use a MBC, I would not recommend buying one for $40+. My friend made one out of plumbing parts (total cost came up to $7) and it worked well. It never spiked on his mr2 and he always ran 15 psi. I made one for the supra and it ran about 16 psi (completely open) and occasionally spiked to 17-18 psi (I really wanted to run 18 constantly). If you are interested in this MBC, I can find the parts for you or I can ask my friend to borrow his since he sold his mr2.

Ive also heard horror stories about these "home depot" valves........ I would never trust a valve that wasnt made by a professional... The Hallman is still used on Buschurr's GSX that is running 8's.........

Don't buy that mbc from that link. I have one of those, it came with my car. The one I have has worn out and is unusuable, it works off of a soft seat/orifice seal and apparently it can wear out. I've been running a homemade ball and spring mbc that looks a lot like some of the 40-50 dollar mbc's, and hearing reports from people who own those, it works about as well as they do. At 13 psi I was seeing about 1-2 psi spike, at 16 psi I'm seeing about a 1 psi spike. Close enough for me, I'm not a perfectionist. 10 bucks in parts and 10 in tools, now I could make several for less than ten because a few of the parts had to be bought more than one at a time.
