Interesting Tip of the Day
Fuel tank sizes:
S13 - 15.9 gallons
S14 - 17.2 gallons
I've never fit more than about 14.5 gallons in my car, and that is with the "low gas" light on for about 5-10 miles. I remember maybe getting 15.1 gallons in my S14 before, gas light definately comes on with enough time to I'd say hit possibly up to 30 miles?
(On a full highway trip with the cruise control set, the gas gauge needle doesn't come off ABOVE the full mark until almost 75 miles, and usually I can get 200 by half a tank, but once it hits half a tank, it starts making a mad dash for the E mark.)

my biggest pump evar was yesterday.... fuel light was on for 22 miles....... 14.621 gallons.. yes *621* my lucky number, aint that a wierd coinsidencce.... This pump was just 1 click, i didnt "top it off"

I drove the ol' Sentra with the fuel light on to work and then to stop by school afterwards, roughtly 12 or so miles, AND THEN MY ASS RAN STRAIGHT OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF PARK STREET ABOUT A MILE AWAY FROM THE GAS STATION. I felt light Kramer. Son of a bitch.

That was how it went with my accord. I thought I had a 13 gallon tank, read the manual and it said 16.9 gallons. Same with the dsm now, I keep filling it at around 12.5 gallons, but now I read that I have a 16 gallon tank (I'm about to go ask if this is right). Easiest way to figure out might just be to carry a gallon of gas with you and run it dry, run it a bit of that gallon at a time to the nearest gas station and let it idle off the rest. Fill it up and see what it takes. I'm tempted to try it out.

i felt brave i and usually let it go 1/4 mark below E before the light comes on. After that i still got almost 2 gallons in the tank. So now i dont' freak out when needle dips down below E mark. I have put 16.5xx gallons many times.....This is on a s14 so i got 17.2 gallon tank.
