n/a ka24de?
highest w/o upgrading internals is like 165-170whp and thats with like everything necessary (meaning not useless crap). and as taylor shows, you can get lucky with an s13 motor with simple timing and exhaust tweaks. if he ever did a hardcore n/a buildup he definately has the good wednesday motor starting point.
and somehow the guys with 11:1 motors still cant put down 200+ at the wheels. even with the most wild cams they make.
if i did n/a it would be a ka24e, but it wouldnt be real streetable hehehe.

ive never asked this before but why the KA24E for an all motor setup?? does it flow better or something? i mean esp if u replace pistons and rods and do crank work.. what makes the E better than the DE then?

well the DE can probably reach the power levels of the E but for some reason some of the scca or whatever one of those smaller us racing series is, uses the ka24e.
all i know is that its some nasty compression, with a high rev limit and a wild, basically unstreetable cam. i have heard the idle is really high and it lopes and bogs unless its running on race gas and thats how its tuned. i could be wrong. i know matt has his little recipe he posts up every so often.
something along the lines of
9500 rev
high cr
3.73 or something gear
game over.
i wouldnt mind getting an 89 base (the lightweight) and stripping it, throwin in a cage, and getting an n/a sohc built with some itb's and a decent setup where i could still drive it on the street duh. i hear these race cars are pushing 300 n/a or something crazy like that. and they were using itb's too iirc. no idea but sounds crazy.
sr20de rwd wouldnt be hard either. and i know those things have some pretty wild n/a setups too.
