freeze plugs dont come out due to overheating. hence the name FREEZE plug. they pop out when the water freezes in the jacket and expands, thus popping the plug and not your block. i would say either you need to retighten your intake manifold or you have a lose heater/turbo coolant line.

as for your running conditions, check to make sure your ECT sensor is intalled properlly and check the ECU for codes.

Do you still have the stock intake manifold? There are a few 1/4" coolant lines that run around the intake manifold. I had a leak in the same place you described, where one of those small hoses was on, but not clamped. It leaked half of my coolant in about 10 minutes. I wouldn't have even seen it if it wasn't spewing coolant.

If you're sure the timing is correct, then you're probably running really rich. Troubleshoot the TPS and MAF as well as intake leaks. Also, I rode in a B13/GTiR that wouldn't go over 5000rpm... BOV was leaking boost, making it super rich.

Hey AEA, did u have to take off the intake manifold to find the hose? i can't seem to find a disconnected hose...if its not a hose im worrying it could be the block

do you have too much crank case pressure?.........a broke ring can act funny......if ring broke =run hot..........but i dont konw

Actullay i had a guy with a GM that overheated the tranny freeze plug and the one on the right side went, he asked me to press them in i said no

yea i found the line, no more coolant leakage. but the other night on my way home the water in the resevoir and the radiator were boiling...the exhaust side was normall temperature, but the intake side was hot as hell! any ideas on that?
