Default Some questions...

I am looking to purchase an 89 240sx with the SR20DET swap already done. What should I look for when looking at the car. He has receipts for the swap and all other mods. The car has been in storage so there is only 30,000 on the new engine. I know absolutely jack about Nissans in general so any help would be greatly appreciated. I was focusing all my research into a DSM but that didn't work out. Is there anything specific I need to check for besides the normal turbo issues?

cars are basically cars. do the normal checks. check for oil leaks and overheating at idle. check for rod knock at idle and low rpms, you shouldnt have to rev higher than 3k.

other than that is a car and if you know how turbos work then you know what to look for there

Yes. Thanks. I was just wondering if there was anything specifically thats a common problem with the SR20 that I should check for. I hope everything works out alright. You can then add me to the Nissan Revolution

how much are you looking to spend? you might be able to do your own project for less than buying someone elses. besides, picking up after someone elses mess is always a problem.
