The brakes in the 280 are getting weird, you have to pump them once or twice to get any braking action going on... first pump they just fall to the floor.

I thought this could be a leaky MBC or low fluid. But the MBC isn't leaking, and when you depress the brakes at idle, there is no idle surge. So that's not it, there's plenty of brake fluid, so what now? Bleed the brakes, check break booster? Does the 280zx have a brake booster?

Thank you sir, I shall try and replace that first. I found out after posting the problem that it does have a booster.
