We should have gone silv, it is sold and cant go back now. You have to remember the initial inspiration for the car was not silv. I believe the actual car is s13.4 now though anyway lol.

So sorry i have not posted any updates, we have only gotten to meet 3 times to do work on the car.
I will be going and finishing alot up today hopefully we rush these last few things.

In the past few times we got things done as well though. (My garage is very limited in tools -_-)

Starting to fit intercooler and cut through some beautiful paint for piping holes.
(We didnt have an intercooler when we went to paint or they would have been pre cut)

Some coil action, looks real nice. Compared to the 9 and 11 spring rates on my car these are very squishy and may get new springs. The raw arms and rods installed as well. The rear will need some work to match.

Tranny bolted (Lots of prybar needed, it was annoying as fuh)
Interior is also coming together

I got the front 5 lug on and test fitted aero which has been sanded to fit nicely already. Missing DS carrier and needed to wait for a 240 to die to get it.. so the rear 5 lug will be done today when car can be put in gear (no impact for hub nut)

Theres alot to be done still . All gauges, relocation, exhaust welded, oil filter and cooler relocation, braided brake lines, ds etc... Most of all paint and wheels. Im digging some white te37/rpf1 on midnight purp body to match bay. Opinions or advice?

Hope you don't plan on slamming that car with KW's...

I don't know where you read that in the thread but this car will be a DD in Orlando and is to be functional at its current ride height.

I didn't read it anywhere? I was saying I hope you're not slamming it with the KW's... A lot of people that ride out in 240's love to drag the metaphorical 240 dick in the dirt. I'm not a fan of that, that's all. I like useable suspension.

I completely agree, sorry for the misunderstanding. I read a little of your thread...without commenting, i respect the work your doing more than 90% of the build threads in here. Cant wait to see the final dyno numbers. I envy your knowledge. We took out the small pre-stressed flat wire section of the coil in the rear.. give me your opinion or review on this if you have one and it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you refering to the helper spring? If so, it keeps the main spring on it's perch under negative or zero load, i.e. inside wheel in corner is unweighted typically and the helper spring keeps the coil on it's seat in those instances. It has little to no direct effect on spring rates. Personally, I don't see a reason to remove it and think you'll run into either hitting the bump stop sooner or bottoming out the piston without it. Think of it kind of like a safegaurd to bottoming out the piston in the shock. KW's are not cheap to repair or rebuild, trust me I know.

Thanks for the kind words on my build and reading through it. I wouldn't say I have an extensive knowledge in any one category, but it's nice to know a little bit about everything. I have done a lot of learning as I go, and a lot from overall experience from wrenching on cars over the course of my short life.

Back to your build though... What color are you going with on the exterior? Same as the bay or something different? As for new springs on the KW's cruise around on them before you change them. Mess with the dampening as well. Typically speaking, Kw coilovers have softer springs because they have good valving. You can over valve or over spring a coilover. If you want slightly stiffer springs look into Swift springs. Go over to nissanroadracing and do some reading. There is a ton of good information on that site with very little BS.

Yes, if thats the proper name, it is the helper spring. Another person who was knowledgeable im assuming in 240's removed it and i latched on. Wasn't aware of its function i appreciate it. Wouldnt change rates until riding these for sure but thanks for the help on good places to find read ups and new ones if it comes to. I wont be actually driving the car my buddy will so in the end its all in his hands. Exterior will be painted to match.. something along the lines of this.. (Im begging the paint comes out like the coupe and not what looks to be an s14.3)
