Default Custom S13 low rise pop up headlights

hey guys, started working on a project. Low rise headlights that also still go up and down. This is just a mock up at the moment. Still have to modify the motors and plastic shrouds.

Concept

Finished product

Night shots
Low beam

high beam

I know the high beam road shot looks worse than the low beam but I still have to adjust them.

I have enough parts for a couple more sets and will be getting more kits together. Check the "for sale" section for pricing and availability

Keep in mind, these are still 100% factory operational.

Are you modifying the housing to raise the light higher? If so, does this give the same light output as the factory position?

Current setup is using an H4666 bulb from a probe/eclipse/saturn. A lot of cars use this bulb and its 2 inches shorter than the stock s13 bulb, but I've kept it adjustable and it's still a dual beam bulb. But you can mount any light setup inside, would be great for j30 retrofit, but I like the square bulb look so passed that up.

How are these different than the lazy eye rheostat we used to put on these back in 1999??? Nice to see people still doing DIY stuff though.

Because nothing is added here, it's all stock hardware so this conversion doesn't cause the motor or anything to work any different than normal. The motor still turns 180 degrees up and 180 degrees down.
