I didnt like my welder with it, when I gave it a try, lots of people have varying results with it, sure it CAN work, but ultimately its not all THAT hard to keep a bottle of gas around.

Not to mention, welding thin sheetmetal, like needed when doing a conversion like this, youre not going to get it in something thin as needed.

This is true, I didn't take into account that he was welding real thin stuff. Solid wire you can run a lot less heat(DCEP), and get cleaner looking welds with thin stuff. Flux core is what you should be using for anything structural though.

Anyways, sorry to bung up your thread. Cool build so far, though!

So i'm happy to see someone else doing shit the hardroad way.

Thanks man, Hard road is the only road for me. It is probably why it takes me a forever to finish up my projects. I will post more pics as I make more progress.
I don't know how others could possibly feel safe and proud of doing half-assed hack jobs.

Pics of the paint job. I went ahead and got the engine bay and interior painted Gt-R Titanium Grey. Engine got clear cloat, interior did not.

next step starting saturday... Redoing the wiring. Decided instead of shoving the fuse box under the dash like a lot of cars I've seen done on forums, I am going to place the box in the back half of the car and run the wiring from there. I'll post pics once I get that done. (shit ton of cutting, soldering, and heat shrinks)

Day 8 and 9 total hours = 8 (ran out of wiring :/)

Interior harness

Future home of the Fuse box and Ecu. Once wired, I'll go to Proven Power and have some brackets fabbed to hold them in their respected places

Elongating the wiring from the fuse box (rear of the car to the front of the car)

nice. hope it turns out as awesome as it potentially could.

word of advice on that wiring, since the extensions are going to all be the same color, label them. and label them often. at the ends is great, but you don't want to have to trace all the way back to the box to figure out which one is shorted out from rubbing on the chassis or something dumb like that.
