the quest for 600 whp
Dang...I hope this thread doesn't turn into a pissing contest about who knows what about making power. Just for the sake of being able to see the process of getting there, I think this thread has value. For those of us that would like insight into what it will take to make this much hp and the headaches it can create, I hope we can keep the drama on the "track".
I havent "been there" or "done that" so i have no idea, but i'd like to see the progress James makes on this build as he works his way to his goal...even if it might seem out of reach to some.

i made 400whp and 346tq with a stock bottem end, megan mainfoild, gt2871r turbo on 18psi, 550cc inj, hks 264 cams, and spitfire coil packs, on a martin rom tune, you dont believe it call him all thats has changed now and is not losing power its only going up........
picture when it was getting tuned and made those numbers

picture of the turbo that made that power

the way the engine bay looked when it made that power

there you have it nothing to hide if you dont think my numbers are honest then put up and run it......

fyi there is not much more power that could have been made with your old setup. stock rods are good to 500whp, evreything else internally is not made to hold 500, i.e. pistons, head studs, mainsutds, head gaskets, etc.
