I was driving home today and went to pic my fone up..i accidentally overrevved my engine and then my hood started smellin so i pulled over for a sencond and all of a sudden my power steering goes out....Is this just coincidental and i nned to check my fluid or is it a conciquence of me overrevvin...Need all of the help i can get thanx

 

maybe the belt snapped?

 

theres a power steering cut off at like 5400 rpm i think...but i dont think that was it, check your belts...if its there, make sure its snug, and not loose

 

if it's a non turbo, your belts are gone or shredded, when i had my 98 rs my belts shredded off twice, you lose you power steering, a/c, and... uhh something else. lol

is the belt the only possible thing?could i have cracked or bloen something??

 

you still have a rev limiter thats stops at 7200ish so tere isnt much that could cuased damage, i agree w/ ^ its the belts b/c w/ mine the powersteering was acting up the i lost the belt.
