Just got my car running. But it has a misfire that wont let me spool up! Also the damm EGT is reading almost 800 degrees with out pushing it and only crusing in 2nd gear. Any recommondation will be thankful to this problem. I also don't have the know senor hook up(broke) could that be the problem...............

I say you're tbelt jumped a tooth, does it feel like you bent a valve? rough idle? idle surge?

or does it feel like it breaks up during boost?

how does it idle?

 

idle's fine. breaks up during boost..

 

plugs, wires? check the gap on the plugs, and check for running too rich...

 

actualy i'm runing lean as hell! plugs are on right and spark plugs are on right gap

 

what kind of wires, how old are they, how long has this problem been going on..

 

change your plugs and wires, see if that helps, 90% it will

 

brand new wires ad plugs. adave my crank angle senor and got lower EGT's but still misfiring?
