Default Can we stop yelling at the newbies

if a newbie asks a stupid question, how long does it take to answer it? I bet it takes longer to type up some witty response.

If you don't want to give the answer to the question, then don't reply, saves time and a bunch of useless emotions.

And to the newbies, if someone replies and yells at you for asking a stupid question, ignore them. They can't reply if you ignore them.

Everyone was new at one time, and everyone got tired of searching through websites (because it is easier and quicker to ask someone).

Plus, we're in a TR forum, come on people. It's not like we're at TBDSM. Not a lot of people in TR know about DSMs.

In conclusion, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Leave the yelling, bitching, and complaining to the people that do it best... women

We don't need all this TRauma at TR, come on.

Also I really think that the yelling at newbies brings down the reputation of our DSM club. I don't want to be seen as some hardass people-hating domestic club or anything

Well if the newbies would go to DSM.org and vfaq.com and read some then we wouldnt have to yell at them. If we give them the answer now and they dont look now then when they have another dumb question they will just ask it too because they didnt take a couple minutes out of their day. If they had they would have said to themselves oh yeah I saw that in the vfaq page.

All the more that they should take some time and browse through DSM.org and vfaq.com.

AMEN to that.

I wouldn't mind answering questions ( and do in fact) when they are something worth answering, however 99% of the questions asked here lately are by former honda owners ( I am seeing a direct correlation) who don't take the time to look anything up on their own.

Give a man a fish he eats for a day.............

let them learn to search for at least *some* of the answers on their own.

if they honestly can't find the answer they are looking for then one of us will help, just not sure why we are still answering questions that were covered and DOCUMENTED on 4 or 5 different sites over 4 years ago.

I agree with that, its just that, why send the newbies(such as me) off to another web site, and search through that? I mean, whts the point of having a tech forum if no one asks a question here? The mitsubishi tech forum hardly has any kind of traffic here, so I guess if the newbies ask a question, an educated response should be given rather than, "check www.insert site name here.com" to get your answer. look at honda tech, they ask the same amount of questions but damn people do answer them respectfully though. just my opinion
