Default question...

I installed a greddy type s bov on my gst a little while ago but then i notice that in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear after 3500 to 4000 it feels like the car hits a fuel cut off and Ive looked pretty much everywhere to find this answer but couldnt find it and no one seems to know....thats the only mod i have done to the car but whats weird is that when i tried an hks sqv it did the same thing so i put my stock bov back on and it worked fine but it does feel sluggish at high rpms......

and please if you dont have anything contributing to say....dont bother replying

Hey man. I believe i met you a few nights ago, at fowler and nebraska. I had the 1G talon. I would recommend checking the basic stuff first such as spark plugs before anything else. Since you said the car breaks up at high RPMs even on the stock BOV. Run down to discount auto and pick up some NGK plugs (BPR7ES part# 2023) if you havent already. Probably wanna look into some new plug wires eventually also. Id still say remove 1 or 2 honeycombs from the MAF, just dont butcher them so that you cant put them back in if you have a problem.

well, doing the plugs if you havent already is a must. Just unscrew the little cover that holds the honeycombs in and pull them out gently with tweezers or needlenose pliers. Its pretty straight forward

It is better to use a pencil eraser to work the honeycombs out
**do not remove the center one, start with one side or the bootom, Do not remove more than one, i wouldnt even recommend doing that at this time. It is totally your call

Well from what ive experienced, every car reacts differently. As long as you dont go nuts and make it so you cant reverse the process, i dont see any problem. Especially at stock boost
