4g63 galant swap
I know it's hard to swap a 4g63 into a n/a model, and it's not worth the money, but I have to for insurance reasons. I can't get a turbo car cause of my record and cause my dad wants to help me get my next car. Can someone please help me figure out what all needs to be done to make it happen. Again... I know it's dumb, but it's then only option I have at the time... what do I need to get/do?
Thanks
Thanks
what generation galant?

that's what I'm wanting to do. I'm trying to see what else there would be to do other than a new tranny, motor and computer... that all seems time consuming, but not so difficult that it would make it impossible... any ideas...? anyone know anyone who has done it before (awd or fwd)?
the ecu part is simple. worse come to worse you can hardwire the ecu into the car. that is how I ran my conquest on a 91 eprom/safc combo.
the engine mounts I am sure can be scavenged from a junkyard or something, rest is just installation.

The FWD Galant Swap should be simple. it will use all stuff from an Eclipse or Talon. they have the exact same subframes. all the mounts will work and axles from an eclipse. you will need to do some extra wiring before a 91-94 turbo ecu will work in that car. need to wire in the injector resistor box for the turbo injectors. need to add wires for knock sensor and need to wire in the extra wire for turbo MAS. the rest is just drop in the motor and go. ..... this all on the assumption of the Galant you swap is a 2.0NA... if its not then just get a wiring harness from a T/E/L
