Did we get the IP address yet????

 

We can't really change the adress to tampabaydsm.com or anything because all the stickers have the dsm.org and the shirts and even our banner right? I hate waiting just as much as you all do... Personally I think we should just all pitch in some money and get it on a stable server. Sure Todd should be able to do the redirect real quick but if we didnt keep changing servers we would have this problem either.... There is a page though I was hown to update the redirect stuff for the dsm.org, I just didnt know the passwords or the IP adress to put in it.

Its been this long, what's a little longer... Hopefully we wont have to change servers again after this one. I personally would rather wait a little longer than have wrong crap on banner, shirt, stickers and everywhere else we are referred to.

 

how about both? It's not like you can't have different domains pointing to the same site. If tampabay.dsm.org goes down again then at least you have backup. Tod Day should really transfer ownership to someone who is willing to actualy take care of things. This is rediculous.

 

I agree. Ive emailed TMO with attn: Todd Day.... but who knows whats happening.

 

I'll offer hosting / equipment for TBDSM. I got a nice RAQ3 server for just this sort of thing - BTW - find that IP address and we can use that to go to the site - we don't need a DNS - i'm having serious withdrawal symptoms. Also the DSM is almost completely parted out. Feels bad to junk a nice straight awd chassis so if anyone wants it..........

Chad, we aren't going to CHANGE it. Will will use tampabaydsm.org until tampabay.dsm.org works. AND in the future.

 

From what I gather the forum is hard coded to the DNS name not IP. So I guess you would have to modify your host file on your win box to surf the new site. That may in turn cause problems with the DNS resolution of the site when we access it via tampabaydsm.com as well......shit. We'll get it back up and discuss with Invader.
