you won't know if the car has crank walk untill it does, you can allways phisically jiggle the crank to see if it moves but if it does, thats such a bad case that you'll know well ahead of time. if you do buy one, plan on replacing the clutch cylinder soon because those tend to go out fast as well. I did'nt read this whole post but did anyone recommend www.tampabay.dsm.org ????
