Were they both DOHC 2000? I remember on the Turbo Model, the Valve Cover says 2000 on it, and I saw a picture of a non-turbo model and the valve cover looked diffrent and didn't say 2000 on it.

if there is 2 cams.... is a 2.0L, 1 cam its a 1.8L the 1.8 you can tell right away. turbo or non turbo. valve covers were same through a buncha years mabye once and a while you will come across another style. but there really isnt any consistancey with them
