Are u kidding me. This isn't a space shuttle bro. We have a stock gasket on the blue Evo making big power on lots of boost 38psi+ and just ran 141 MPH in the quarter. Get it running bro. Let go.

It's not a problem with it holding, the gasket is fine... A lifter jammed up, or a seat dislogged or guide came out, not sure what yet till the machine shop gets back to me... has nothing to do with gasket holding up... The 2.4l engines need to use a special gasket because they are thin between the cylinders. That's the gasket I'm waiting on...

My head is o-ringed, this is an unrelated issue to the head gasket... I just can't reuse the old one, and the gasket needed is a special gasket used with 2.4's under serious boost... It's another reason why Buschur sticks with 2.3l strokers.

Bro throw a 2.0l with headstuds in there and have fun. This car is a total nightmare. I've never had that much trouble with an Evo before. Starting to sound like a suby engine.

You guys don't spend enough time on Evo m, the info about 2.4l is on there, I will blow the snot out of the 2.0 gasket... This isn't a build failure it's a head failure, so I guess Cosworth built it.

We originally thought it was a mivec gear until the head started making a knocking noise like I was about to throw a rod... we inspected it, it was definitely the head....

Youre right i dont spend alot of time on the forums lol, im busy building cars. Put a 4g63 in it and have fun. 2.4l is a headache....point in case...your car lol

AMS makes a gasket for it and i know people who have used oem machined to 87 and had it hold up to 40psi before they let go..........that is if the tune is good...so.... what boost are you running??

i still dont know why you would go with that set up. just sounds like youve had nothing but trouble with it. sell that motor and get a reliable 4g63

What's funny is that my bottom end had nothing to do with the problems I'm having lmao.

If I had a 2.0l 4g63 guess what, it would still be down. I had a head failure not a bottom end failure
2.4l fo life son!
The cosworth gasket was ordered for my cosworth head, it shall be here shortly

How late will ya'll be dyno'ing cars? I'm still trying to resolve an issue, but don't know if it'll be worked out enough to have a go at it.
