need help putting in a different wiring harness

Default need help putting in a different wiring harness

I picked up a 96 rs for a few 100 bucks but it needs a new wiring harness im thinking of going to the junk yard and pulling one out of a eclipse there. Im just wanting to know what am I getting my self in to??

It is exactly what it sounds like. If youre just talking about an engine harness, it could be done in an hour or so. Unplug, un clip, disconnect ecu and pull it through the firewall.

Main harness is another story..

The engine harness is easy. Just take your time and dont yank on anything. Start from the ecu and work you way over to the passenger side firewall. Bring a 10mm for the grounds, and an assortment of flat heads.

Involves removing the driver side fender to access it, and a host of other issues involved as you need to remove significant wiring from under the dash.

I guess the 4g guys have it 100% easier then...
