Default I think I found the Probelm with the Evo

True story We have this Evo in for a custom engine build. Well as soon as we opened the hood the problem was obvious Brothers. HIGH FIVE!!! I just thought this was funny and had to share. The Story will really unfold on this one. And yes the cam broke off....

What cams are they using? Hope the damage isn't to bad for the owners sake.

I'm going with Kelfords on the GST... Is this a problem with their quality control or was this a previous shops/installation error?

Maybe now it'll get fully built... the right way.
Do you think the cam was overtorqued on the front bearing?

LoL. There was not much to be said about that car. It has been a mess way before rob and dave did minimal work to it. Not that funny. BTW my evo is flawless, and dave has wrenched on it several times. Just sayin'

I'm not sharing details per customers request. anyways here is another evo I'm working on. Engine took a shit around state rd 54 and 75. He called on a Sunday and i was glad to help. Well took it apart has a window in the block. On the plus side the head is good and its also going for a full build. The red car was at my house like 2 owners ago it has severe detonation, just borescope number 4 piston you will see and it is always knocking/pulling timing no matter how high you set the knock threshold on the aem haha I told the previous owner it needed to be rebuilt so he just sold it haha
