That's Miguels old car. He was racing a mid 11 second Evo in that video so, based on that information, I'll let you be the judge on how fast you think the car was at that time...

 

You can't really go by that. I was having issues that night and the car was spitting popping and breaking up. In that vid I was shifting at 6500rpm to keep it from breaking up and was in the low 20's on boost. That car has since broke 40psi and roasted the tires in 2nd and spun the top of third. Had the trans held "I" would be the leader in Tampa Mitsu community... I since got rid of that car for something more practical with ac and pwr steering, a true street car.

Chris I'm a little disappointed in you. You know the car was hurt that night and for you to say something like this just shows that your lashing out at every and anyone right now further proving the point of complaints against you... You need to back up a bit and take a breather and think things through clearly before down playing those whom you call friends.

There's nothing for you to be disappointed in. I stated a fact of the car you were racing and I said "at that time". That video is a horrible example of how your car performed, but as stated there aren't any numbers on the car so again just speculation. I'm not interested in playing the bench racing game of "my car would do this, his car would do that" with anyone here.

Were the ones that actually went out, took the time, and the effort to get it done. I'm only interested in comparing real world results and as stated before, until someone comes forward with a Mitsubishi in Tampa that has a lower time slip, these guys are just flapping there gums and nothing more.

 

and your runnig the same turbo setup as miguel and his car was way lighter how would it not be faster!!!!! power/weight ratio

Which is true, I built that car for street racing I had no interest in track times,records,or trying to get sponsors. It did what I wanted it to when it wasn't snapping transmissions and pretzel-ing input shafts.

 

BINGO! I mean really, what's the point of actually going to the track and putting down results. We could save ourselves a load of time, effort, and money by just throwing parts on a car and saying other guys did 8's with this setup so.... ours will too. Yup we have an 8 second car, no time slip or any proof, but yup other guys have done it so we automatically have the same results with our car as well. Man, racing would be so much cheaper that way. No one would ever have to replace broken parts or anything.

 

Chris,all this arguing is beneath you. Be the better man and just walk away, this thread is making everyone look bad and the last thing we need to do is make the mitsu community like the Honda community. I would like to see us all one day work together rather than against each other. No one here has anything to prove, all this useless arguing is getting us nowhere.
