need help on shop review..
well this thread has gone way off track from what I made it for. The bottom line is i am looking for a shop that has alot of experience in evo builds not bolt on's, builds. In my honest opinion i wouldn't be comfortable going with a shop or home shop that hasn't produce a numerous amount of builds in the area so far i have not seen that from judge racing, not puting down your shop i am just looking for someone that has more builds out there good luck with your shop and thank you.
I have skimmed through the thread and all I hear is if you don't build your own motors. You're not a real shop? I don't get this logic at all. Where I come from, The majority of the DSM's or EVO's don't have built motors, in fact they are all bolt ons and a tune. In the stock form, a DSM or an EVO can handle a lot of what you throw at it if its tuned properly.
Seeing as how Ryu is 1 of the 4 who have dipped into the 9's on a stock block, I would consider that a great accomplishment for any shop.
I'm a far cry from home and STM, But if I ever get to a point in time where I get my hands on a DSM again. I would defiantly give them a call. Drama is Drama, In the end the numbers are what matters

Even my personal evo was what I would consider quick. I was making 554 hp@ 501 TQ. I did run my car at the track on pump 93. It went 10.8 @ 132mph. I could not get traction to save my life on regular street tire. This motor was built by me and ran for 63000 miles until a spark plug took out a piston.
But in all truth Ryu's car is a statement to our abilities. It is all about the set up on the car and how the parts work together.

i lost braincells reading half of this shit. lol. people need to keep their 2 cents to themselves. ryu, you can't say you have the quickest mitsubishi's in tampa, theres always someone bigger, better, and faster. just remember that. if i remember correctly, jerry's car was running 9's and its a mitsu. drew's car would run 9's all day, miguel would have been in the 9's if he had a tranny to hold the torque he was putting out.

I have no interest in playing the bench racing game with you or anyone else. Do others have the "potential" to best our quickest Tampa Mitsubishi time? Yes I truly believe so. Has anyone in REALITY done so? Not by a long shot.
Suprastar84, I appreciate your honesty and wish you luck on whatever you choose to do with your car. If you should ever have a change of heart, we are more then equipped to handle whatever work you are looking to get done, I assure you.
As for the others, thank you for injecting some intelligence into this thread.

I think everyone should bring there cars out and put that shit on paper. I'd love to see who's blows first and get this shit over with haha. Life does start on TR there is plenty of people out there sporting setups you haven't seen around. 10 and 9 sec 1/4 isn't nothing huge. Its been done countless times, it just so happens you decided to make a video about it and post it so now its legend mbn lol. I know Jerry's and Drew is mad quick.
I would at least go with a shop that's been around at-least a little while and is diverse and able to build install and tune, any custom setups. IMO Z Darkside FTW

9s are huge in a STOCK MOTOR car. It has only been done 4 times throughout the country. Shop cars setup for drag racing running 9s is nothing, but in a full blown, full interior street car, it is a big deal. Not many people out there can say that. I am not nut swinging by any means.... but what I am doing is speaking the truth. No ifs, ands or buts about it. What Chris has done is an accomplishment. He may not have been around for awhile, but some shops that have been around for awhile have shit for reputations. Maybe they can make a difference if given the opportunity.
