i have to disagree here. a fully gutted ek hatch with a honda motor in it weighs around 1700 lbs. the awd, heavier motor and trans, tcase, etc. probably weighs no more the 500 extra lbs. so around 2300lbs give or take, over 500hp....is a 9 second car all day. he made over 600lb of torque at like 3000rpms. you're lucky to get an evo down to 3000lbs thats still streetable. then you need around 600hp+....then youre pushing the limit on the stock internals. can't compare apple to oranges, but i would have had my money on miguel.

So that puts it to about 2500LBS. Emery from stm's evo weights just over 2600 with a cage. Not a huge difference.

okay. daily driven 1g awd with over 600whp...is a 9 second car right? mike rizzoti has the 6 bolt stock block record and he put down 680whp. now take a 700+whp 1g awd, with a REALLY good driver, and tell me your boys stock block evo is faster? sounds ignorant right?

The only thing that is ignorant is bench racing with peak HP numbers to grasp for straws on what could have happened. If someone in Tampa thinks their Mitsubishi is quicker by all means go to the track and prove it. Sitting here on the internet whining and bench racing doesn't cut it.
