The last and most important piece is my GST is a 97 that I bought new in Sept of 96 and have no plans on getting rid of it.
Thats why he doesn't want to just swap shells

Here is an update on the "Organ Donor"

Removed the drive shaft

Then took out the engine and trans. I didn't have a hoist or any help so I took the wheels off, lowered the car onto a dolly, unbolted the motor mounts and lifted the frame up so I could slide the engine out from the bottom.

Gas tank and rear sub frame were next

Next will be cleaning up all of these pieces, I want to have the rear sub frame powder coated, get the gas tank cleaned up (has two year + old gas in it) and get the trans checked out to make sure it is good.

Started taking apart the GST today, last picture as a GST

And with everything out, not bad for a 15 year old car.

Oh and I almost forgot, I bought these yesterday for $550. I am going to have them powder coated next.

WOW, didn't realize I hadn't updated this since July. Got a lot done so here are some pics

Before putting everything back in I had the sub frame powder coated and installed new solid bushings.

Hung the gas tank

Put the new bushings in the rear suspension and also added stainless brake lines for the Brembos

Mounted the rear diff and installed the axles

Also installed the drive shaft

Bushings changed out on the front suspension

New awd trans is in and doing a small wire tuck.

Currently I am working on relocating the engine bay fuse box to the glove box and bought new wheels to go over the Brembo brakes (just need to powder coat them Blk)
