exhaust

this kid at school told me that if i cut off my muffler that i would fry my internals in my ingine. is he full of shit????????????

it would only get fucked up if i had no exhaust at all right?

I hear you _can_ damage your valves by running open downpipe. Although this could just be a myth.

If your running high boost, and your exhaust is too restrictive. You can use this to avoid boost creap.
Although, I have been told, but not experienced, that doing so decreases the time for a turbo to spool, and get max boost quicker. Though they may be getting these effects because they're exhaust is too restrictive.

Anyone with other views please step in and correct me if im wrong.
