Default My Current mind boggling car...

ok so i have a 92 eagle talon tsi awd assembled (071991) says the door. so one day im driving her home from work (5 minutes from my place) it was cold out and wen i first turn it on its a lil jumpy the rpms die a lil bit i assume from being a cold motor so i give her gas to warm up (about 2k) wait about 2 minutes then drive it home. on the way home at a stop sign i notice the oil pressure lowering n then the oil light came on as i pulled in my parking lot. shut her off and i see a trail of oil to my parking spot. so the next day i get 4qts and put it in start her up 2 seconds later all oil is GONE. on the floor and everywhere. of course from the timing belt side. ive had the front main seal replaced and i replaced the balance shaft seal when the problem continued. granted wen i did the balanceshaft seal this was my first time doing a seal. im at a loss tho what could it be? any ideas?

4 quarts, 2 seconds?

Check the oil filter housing. Mine came apart (big like 24mm or something bolt inside behind the filter) and dumped ALOT of oil..

Take the filter off and make sure its tight. Its bigger then a 24mm. I check mine each oil change. I my bottom end 2 years ago because of it baking out.

^Yikes. I was lucky enough to spot mine on the dyno...saw it was leaking a bit, thought it was the filter...I got back to my friends garage to change it and the fucker fell off the car as soon as I pulled it into the driveway. lol

99% of the time whatever is broken is the last thing you screwed with. My money is on the balance shaft seal or something related to that replacement.

lol speaking of oil leaks, i just fixed one of mine yesterday. the turbo return line flexpipe had a huge hole in it. no wonder my car smoked so bad at stoplights and lost a quart a day haha. cut out the flexpipe and put 5/8 heater hoe in place.
