I'm looking for a local place to pick up a manual tranny. Shipping would be costly due to the weight, so I figured I'd look for one that I can pick up myself. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

So there aren't any shops that sell trannys?

 

Try tre or shep they can hook you up, im sure lancerman has a nice one also, whats wrong with yours?

 

When I bought my project car it didn't come with one. Actually, it had two tranny's in the trunk (sounds like a bad Quagmire joke) but for a 1g fwd turbo and a 2g nt (I believe). I'd be more than happy to turn those in towards a 2g awd tranny.

 

Yeah that one might be a hard one. I see broke ones going for 300-600. I would get on some forums if you have the cash there should not be a issue with finding one.
