I am having a fuel issue and map sensor is a possibility, i need to know what cars carry 3 bar or more map sensors OEM which will fit directly on my 4g63. Someone told me that a stock srt4 one will fit, i am looking for a car that i can find at the junkyard prefarably... any info helps.. Thanks ahead of time

You do the math.

What are you tuning with? Are you replacing a broken MAP that you already added? Because DSMs do not have MAP sensors factory...

What is the problem anyway?

The factory MDP sensor is on the top of intake mani. The only true direct replacement is the OmniPower 4 bar sensor. But you'll need to tune/something or it will throw a cel for it eventually.

alright awsome.. The srt-4 is surely a no go.. Thanks code4.. The car is throwing a CEL which is a fuel code. basically as soon as the car starts to build boost, or attempt to build boost it putters and gets jumpy, but does not really accelerate too much. It also smells as if the car is running extremely rich when this happens. I just baught the car and i do not know if it has been tuned or not. The girl i got the car from did not know too much about her car. It is stock with the exception of a FMIC and a individual runner exhaust manifold. The boost gauge said it peaks at 15lbs, but it is surely not properly boosting 15lbs. I just tested the tps, and it is no good. I will replace that today and update what happens as soon as im finished.

Also for the omni power 4 bar, Do you believe its necessary for the modifications done to the car?

No you don't need it now. The tps will cause all kinds of issues.

^^Forget about your evo 8 stuff. TPS is basically a glorified idle switch on a 2g. Hell, it doesnt even do much on my Evo8 car. Your shit is haunted.

What is this "fuel code" ? There is usually a number like PO083 or something like that. How did you test the TPS? Did you adjust it? Are you planning on just throwing parts at it till its fixed?

I got a TPS and am installing it now. While they were checking the CEL their machine has a TPS reading it only read accurate throttle position sometimes. I am not going to throw parts at it until i understand the problem, i just dont want two problems, i will update when im finished

Not trying to be rude, just wondering if you actually diagnosed it as bad beforehand.

An easy way to set the TPS is to backprobe the connector while its plugged in (with the key on) and set the TPS to 0.63 Volts when closed. GL
