i would call and see what mods he has done to the car. the ideal snag is to buy a non-modded 1g awd. but if your hard up and looking to enjoy 4wd drive goodness then its not to bad of a price i guess.

Default That car isn't for sale

LOL, too bad I bought that car

got it for 2400, and the mechanic said it is in great mechanical condition. No rebuilds needed yet.

And Teg, I can teach you about DSMs if ya want, AIM me sometime on FastPunkBass.

The only thing you MIGHT have to rebuilt on a DSM with over 100,000 miles is the tranny, and this one was in good mechanical condition, no grinds. The motor is solid. People run with 150k on the block no problem. DSMs are very very strong cars.

The motor should be fine at 100000 miles, there are many decently mod'd DSM's running around with over 140000 miles on the stock engine.

Now if you go throwing say a 20G plus size turbo on a somewhat tired high mileage dsm engine running say 24+ psi of boost you will more than likely break some piston ring lands fairly quick.

Another thing with high mileage dsm engines are the valve guides, they are getting pretty loose at over 100000 miles and will cause some oil consumption & oil smoke, just normal wear and tear for the mileage.
